The Kyiv Saxophone Quartet was founded in 1985 under the aegis of the Ukrainian Composers Union.
The Quartet’s members are : musical director, Yuri Vasylevych – soprano,  Mykhaylo Mymryk  - alto, Oleg Zaremskyy – tenore,  Sergiy Gdanskyy - baritone .
The Kyiv Saxophone Quartet has appeared in major venues throughout Ukraine and their tours have taken them to many countries in Europe and North America
     The Quartet were first prize winners at the Ukrainian Chamber Music Competition in Kyiv in 1987, the “Crystal Lion” Jazz Competition in Lviv,  (Ukraine) – Grand Prix – in 1989, and the International Woodwind Ensemble Competition in Rivne (Ukraine) in 1996.
           The Quartet’s repertoire encompasses classical and folk music, as well as standard classical and jazz compositions.
From 2003 - The Kyiv saxophone quartet of the National music philarmonic of Ukraine.
